A shopper’s paradise can be found on Front Street in Philipsburg, the Dutch side’s capital. Known for its duty-free values, Philipsburg offers decent prices on cameras, electronics, crystal, china, jewelry, watches, designer fashions, leather, perfumes, cosmetics, tobacco products, imported wine and spirits, linens, flatware and Dutch imports such as Delft china, cheeses and beer.

On the French side, visit the capital city of Marigot for designer shopping in a Caribbean atmosphere. The majority of shops and boutiques found there offer famous-name perfumes, crystal, china, jewelry and designer fashions — all selling for substantially less than in the United States.
