We know you’d rather be here… and now you can!
The island of St. Maarten and Princess Julianna International Airport (SXM) are currently scheduled to reopen on August 1st for North American travelers. Rest assured, Oyster Bay Beach Resort and Coral Beach Club are ready with new safety guidelines for our guests and the same fabulous fun, surf, and service as always. Welcome back. Welcome home.
Travel policies are evolving so we encourage you to stay up-to-date with the St. Maarten government’s requirements here.
What you should know:
Upon your arrival, the St. Maarten Ministry of Tourism will require you to submit a COVID-19 PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test result—the test can be taken at any time, but the results must be dated no more than 72 hours prior to your arrival. Children 10 and younger are not required to submit a COVID-19 PCR test result. You will also need to fill out a simple health form and have a no-contact temperature check at the airport. After which, you’ll be free to engage typical ground transportation options for the short drive to Oyster Bay Beach Resort and Coral Beach Club.
For those needing assistance locating a COVID-19 PCR test, or for any questions about entry requirements, please contact our Corporate COVID-19 testing Concierge. Call +1 (866) 297-6978. Karen (extension 1) or Christine (extension 2) are ready to assist you.
Your Island Paradise is waiting for you.
We’re ready and looking forward to seeing you again. Restaurants, bars and most businesses have been open since June 1st. It’s also good to know that St. Maarten has seen minimal impact from COVID-19 due to the government’s early, directive action to isolate.
Oyster Bay Beach Resort was one of the first resorts to reopen with new health and safety guidelines in place. Your resort and your Island are fully operational and we are ready to welcome you back. A few of our new modifications are shown below.
Acrylic dividers have been installed at the reception desk as well as the concierge desk and car rental area.
We have reduced the number of tables and distanced them appropriately in the dining room and the patio. All staff members are wearing masks.
Acrylic dividers have been installed at the bar and tables have been appropriately distanced.
Lounge chairs have been paired and separated for proper distancing.
In addition to physical modifications, anti-viral protocols for social distancing and sanitation have been enhanced to include: advanced check-in, room service and delivery procedures, fortified anti-viral housekeeping protocols as well as temperature checks.
