On St. Martin – St. Maarten, there’s a beach for every mile. Our tiny, thirty-seven square miles of island includes thirty-seven beaches, many of them topless and some of them nude (on the French side). As a guest at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort, you have immediate access to Dawn Beach and all it has to offer.
Oyster Bay Beach Resort has its very own piece of St. Maarten beach. And it doesn’t get any better than limin’ on the beach beneath our big yellow umbrellas, sipping mojitos in the sun. The sugary white sand, breathtaking shades of ocean blue and St. Barths in the distance is enough to make you want to stay. With our beachside drink and meal service at your beck and call, you’ll have no reason to ever leave. Looking for something a little more active? Check with our beach towel booth attendants for free snorkeling gear and explore the nearby reef.
One of many well-known sites on the Dutch side of the island, Great Bay Beach offers sweeping views of the ocean and the cruise ships entering the harbor. Sandy beaches, beachside cafes and its proximity to shopper’s paradise, Front Street, make for an active location.
You barely have to leave the airport to enjoy Simpson Bay Beach. Just a short trip from plane to sand and you will find a collection of yachts sailing beneath the Simpson Bay Bridge as well as the remains of an old shipwreck jutting up out of the bay.
Notoriously known as one of St. Martin’s most liberal beaches (clothing optional), Orient Bay on the French side of the island is actually two miles of white sand and five separate beaches: Bikini, Kontiki, Kakao, Waikiki and Coco Beach. The bay is also a haven for parasailing, water skiing, windsurfing and horseback riding.
St. Martin’s longest and one of the most private beaches, Baie Lounge is located among some of the island’s most exclusive pieces of real estate.
